Congratulations to Dare 2 Dance, The Winner of the #ILoveMyBusiness Contest!

Over the month of February, MyCorporation asked small business owners what it is they love about their businesses for a chance to win $500. The results are in and the winner is…

Nyemah Gillespie from Dare 2 Dance!

Nyemah, or, Miss Nye, turned in the above photo along with the caption, “#ILoveMyBusiness because I get to see these kids smile daily!”

We wanted to get to know our winner a little better so we asked Miss Nye about the business she loves so dearly:

1.       Tell us about your business!

Dare 2 Dance is the first dance school back in the City Of Camden in almost 27 years. We service children ages 3-18 teaching them Ballet, Tap, Jazz and HipHop! We also offer various Masterclasses and fitness classes! Our mission is to educate the youth in Dance and prepare them for the next steps in life both personally and professionally.

2.       What inspired you to start Dare 2 Dance?

My city inspired me to start Dare 2 Dance! With Camden, New Jersey being labeled as some what of a “lost cause”, I wanted to give kids with the same passion for Dance as me, an outlet. We have so many talented children in the city and they always have to travel to Philadelphia to take class or join a company! I wanted to give them a place to learn and train right here!

3.       What do you love about your business?

I Love That The Children Are Learning! Whether it’s dance terminology or life lessons, they are learning! They enjoy the studio, my instructors & their classmates! I Love that we could create such a family environment with education & fun!

4.       How are you going to spend your winnings?

We are a new studio! So we are still in need of Mirrors and Barres. The winnings will go towards finishing our Ultimate Studio look!

Congratulations, Dare 2 Dance! And a big thank you to all of our participants! We loved looking at all of your photos. Be sure to keep an eye out for MyCorporation’s next contest!
