Are you a small business owner, entrepreneur, or just brimming with advice about the start-up world that you want to share? We want you to come and blog with us!

What started as just a few guest inquiries last spring has become a tremendous success on our MyCorp blog – now we have guest writers from all over the country (as well as outside of the United States) contributing their thoughts and ideas about small business with us. In fact, our program has been such a success that MyCorp recently had the honor of being placed at #11 on a list of the top business blogs that accept guest posts! And while we are absolutely thrilled to be on that list, it’s also been a lot of work getting there as guest blogging is pretty time consuming on the email front.

Guest post idea

Until now, our guest-blogging system has essentially been an e-mail address and some generic guidelines. But we’re streamlining the process for 2014 to make it easier on contributors with a revamped system, and are proud to unveil our new article submission process!

The first step is to click over to the ‘Become an Author‘ section of our blog and read through the guidelines. The basic rules are that posts have to be original, between 400 and 600 words, and include an author’s bio with one link-back to your site. We are pretty open to topics, as long as your post is related in some way to small business or entrepreneurship, and it isn’t promotional in nature; we respect our readers too much to try and trick them into reading advertisements.

If we really like your posts, we may ask you to continue to write for us!

Now, we review every submission we get, so please give us two weeks before contacting us about your post. We are also happy to hear any pitches you have if you’d like to have firm approval before writing up an entire article. Our expansive catalogue of back-posts has also meant that we have an abundance of stock photos, so you don’t have to worry about including a picture, unless you have one in particular you want, and have permission, to use.

So if you’re interested, click on over to our submission form and get started. And, if you have any questions not covered by this post or our ‘Become an Author’ section, feel free to e-mail us at!
